4th Grade News – Week of August 23rd
Welcome back to school, 4th Grade families! We have had a great start to the school year. We have been doing different activities to get to know each other and had class discussions on what we want our classroom community to look like, sound like, and feel like. Here are our classroom rules that everyone has committed to in 4th grade:
I will…
- Be kind, respectful, and helpful to everyone.
- Keep our classroom clean and welcoming.
- Be ready to learn.
We have also begun our beginning of year assessments. We will finish up our assessments next week and then move into our first units for reading, writing, and math. Homework will begin next week.
The students also began Art this week. They created Rosh Hashana cards and designed their portfolios. Art class will continue through mid-November. Today we had our first Social Emotional Learning (S.E.L.) class. Everyone was very excited to visit Ms. Jadyn’s beautiful and peaceful S.E.L. room!
