August 31-September 4

This week we started our Everyday Math Curriculum. Students had a chance to work in their math journals and started playing some of the math games. We are learning about tally marks and practicing counting by 1s, 5s and 10s.

In Language Arts we are continuing with centers and assessments. Students are practicing using the technology center and the writing center. We wrote sticker stories and birthday messages for Jack.

I have tested everyone on their sight words and I have sent home a list of sight words for your child to practice. I will assess them again in two weeks. 🙂
