Honey!

Today CJDS had the pleasure of seeing how honey is harvested first hand! John Stone, a parent of CJDS and apiarist, brought in boxes of honeycomb and gave an hour long demonstration on how he collects the honey. He showed the students the honeycombs, the ‘smoker’, how honey extractor works, the process of cutting the wax, and much more! All students even got to sample the honey- it doesn’t get any more fresh than this.
