April 18-21

This week we spent time reviewing High Frequency Words, the phonics patterns -ea and -ee. I continued the end of year reading assessments but still will continue when we return from Pesach Break. In writing we practiced visualizing. I read a story that used a lot of colorful and vivid words that helped the students create the pictures in their minds. I did not show them the pictures but asked them to illustrate what they think they picture looked like based off of the words they heard. Then we shared our pictures and talked about how important word choice is when describing events in a story. They seemed to really enjoy this activity.

We also visited the library. May will be our last visit to the JCC library so please make sure you check your house for any books that need to be returned.
