What a busy and exciting week we have had! We had special Channukah Assemblies, a First in Math celebration, participated in winter/Channukah activities with Ms. Jadyn and we visited the 5th graders to listen as they presented their PBL projects about colonies.

During the Channukah Assemblies we sang songs, lit the Chanukia and played fun games. Another fun activity for me was having the opportunity to sit with the class as they did Tefliah and Parsha with Morah Donna. It was so fun for me to see them in that environment.

At the First in Math assembly we congratulated Cornelius for being the 1st grade Player of the Trimester! He earned a total of 5,100 stickers! As a school we surpassed our yearly goal already. Mrs. Difilippo has challenged us to double our original goal and try to reach 200,000 stickers by the end of the year!

For the First in Math Celebration we had Pajama Day and watched Channukah on Planet Matzah Ball!

We also read the book Snowmen at night by Carolyn Beuhner. It is a very cute story about what a little boy thinks Snowmen must to at night. We talked about the story and the students started generating their own ideas of what Snowmen would do at night (if they were real, of course). The kids were very creative and came up with snowball fights, hide and seek, go ice skating, sledding and drinking cocoa. Our new bulletin board will display their snowmen and their stories about What do Snowmen do at night? Come check it out in January if you get a chance.

I hope everyone has a very fun and safe winter break. Happy Channukah and have a blessed New Year!

See you next year!
