I want to congratulate Rabbi Gordon on becoming a US citizen this week.  Despite the wintry weather on Tuesday, Rabbi Gordon took the oath and made it official.  It was only proper for the fifth grade to throw a party in celebration.  The students decorated the classroom, sang the national anthem and every other patriotic song they knew, and finally no party is complete without an American flag cake made and decorated by Bracha Weiss.

This week with the weather and several absences we have been filling the day with mini-lessons and catching up in some other areas.  We should be back on track next week, weather permitted.
