Good Afternoon!

This week we finished up the last Junior Great Books story and are now finished with that curriculum! Enjoy pictures below of our last shared inquiry discussion about the story, “The Nightingale.”

Next week we will start the William and Mary curriculum. As I stated in the last progress report, this is an all-encompassing curriculum in which we will read a novel in class, students will read a novel at home, and there will be daily homework. Although we don’t usually assign homework on the weekends, this curriculum is rigorous and homework will be assigned in order to keep the lessons flowing smoothly. The homework will mainly entail reading but there may be some written work assigned from time to time. It should be finished by Monday so students are prepared to participate in Monday’s lesson and discussions. In order to participate fully in all lessons and discussions, it’s important that homework be completed nightly and turned in on time. Thanks in advance for your help with this!

We are really looking forward to our trip to Raleigh and Old Salem next week!

Have a great weekend and Shabbat Shalom!
