Fun times in Third Grade

We are reading a story this week titled The Monster Who Grew Small, a story about a boy who meets someone who helps him discover strengths that he did not know he had. After reading, the students shared personal connections to the story. Making connections while reading helps the reader understand and relate to  the characters. The kids were listening to past stories of feeling frightened, alone, nervous, scared and every story ended with a realization of strength!
