Hi! I’m Morah Rochel

Greetings!

My name is Rochel Vorst but the children will be calling me Morah Rochel.  Morah means “teacher” in Hebrew.  I grew up watching the Charlotte Jewish Day School grow from a tiny kindergarten class to a real school!  I am the only one of my siblings who did not attend CJDS because it was younger than me.  As soon as I graduated with my Judaica teacher’s certification, I started teaching kindergarten and I never looked back.  

I am a mom to six, wife of the guy known as The Kosher Police, and author of three Jewish picture books.  The latest was released this past February. 

I had a blast teaching online last spring, but nothing beats being back in the classroom.

I cannot wait to meet my new crop of kindergarten kuties!
