Is it Kosher for Pesach?

As we went through the selection of play foods from our dramatic play center trying to determine which foods were kosher for Pesach and which were not kosher for Pesach, we discovered a third category – foods that could be either.  There is kosher for Pesach pasta, cookies, and even cake made of matzah meal or potato flour!  

So when Pesach shopping, how is a kindergartner to know what is kosher for Pesach?

The children checked out several products and quickly discovered the giant P, the words Kosher for Pesach, or even in Hebrew the כשר לפסח.

It would be wonderful if you take your child grocery shopping, to please wander over to the kosher for Passover section of your grocery store, so your child can show you what he or she learned in class.
