Jacob’s Ladder
Hello parents,
Third grade is busy reading short stories in the Jacob’s Ladder curriculum. We’ve learned about morals and lessons, and even illustrated our own before and after scenes from the stories. Kids are learning complex vocabulary and hopefully using it at home, too! Ask your child to explain the following words: boon, dreadful, plague, content, and obliged. They are all from the story The Fisherman and his Wife.
As a reminder, your child should be doing a reader’s response nightly Monday-Wednesday. On Thursday, kids should be posting on KidBlog. The written response in their notebooks should always be a minimum of 6 sentences.
I hope to see everyone at Curriculum Night tomorrow at 7:00pm! If you are unable to attend, I will send the papers home with your child.
