Mint Museum Field Trip
Third grade has been learning about the economy and how our community is affected by trade and transportation abilities. They learned about the Panama Canal and how this shortcut allowed places to be more integrated with the world economy. On Wednesday, third grade took a trip to the Mint Museum to view the Panama Canal Exhibit which celebrates the centennial of the opening of the Canal in 1914! It was amazing to view the artwork and artifacts displaying the enormity and grandeur of this incredible Canal. The students impressed me with both their questions to the tour guide and their ability to answer her questions to them. Take a look at our photos below!
