I hope that everyone had a safe and uneventful hurricane experience. The upcoming weeks are going to be full of events for the fifth grade.  Next week we will be entertaining the preschools with the building of Sukkahs.  This has been a long standing tradition and the kids really enjoy working with the little ones.  On Wednesday September 26th, we will host our annual Soccer and Sukkah Party from 5:30-7:00 pm rain or shine.  This is open for the 5th grade students and their families.  I really hope that you can all make it all or part of the time.  On Thursday, we will take part in a Sukkot celebration.  I know that the experience is going to be fun and memorable.

Today was highly anticipated by all fifth graders as they were introduced to their Chromebooks. Training was conducted by Mrs. Gamlin and there were strict uses and guidelines put in place to ensure that the students are using this technology in the most productive manner.  Today they feel like big boys and girls with their own personalized CJDS email accounts.  As with all technology, we will be monitoring all activity.  I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and please be safe if you are traveling.
