This week students began work on learning about three early colonies.  I have split the class into three groups to learn about Jamestown, Roanoke and Plymouth colonies.  Next week they will  be presenting their findings.  Yesterday we had a conversation about the riots in Charlotte.  It was not my intention to discuss the issues but since it was brought up in class, I felt that I had to discuss this with them.  Most were aware of what caused the protest.  If you find that I need to have further discussions with them please let me know.

Next Friday, September 30th, we will have a 12:00 pm dismissal.  The morning will be filled with Rosh Hashanah activities.  Tuesday, September 27th, we will have our first Kindergarten Connection.  I hope that everyone has a safe weekend.
