Tefilah
Tefilah, or prayer has been a theme running through our most recent Torah stories.
The angels climbing up and down the ladder in Ya’akov’s dream were created by the letters of his prayers.
When Ya’akov was about to come face to face with his angry brother Eisav, he once again turned to Hashem, who had promised to protect him.
In that spirit, our art project this week was to create our very own siddur. It’s a joy to see the students copy prayers out of our classroom siddur, or just drawing Aleph Bet. I know they will be very proud to bring this project home in a few weeks.
Shabbat books are coming home this week. Don’t forget to add the title to your child’s book log and please return on Monday.
