The Week of the Plays

There was so much excitement this week and for a good reason. The student’s worked so hard rehearsing their lines, making their costumes, props and set. They practiced and practiced and practiced and all of their hard work paid off. They were the cutest little animals, travelers, narrators, announcers, sun and wind, I have ever seen. They really exceeded my expectations and I loved every minute of it! Watching their excitement only made it that much better for me.

This week we learned more about -r controlled words such as bird, third, mother, her, blur and fur. This is a very tough pattern and we will get more practiced with it throughout next week. I have also started some End Of Year assessments with the class. Once I see how everyone has done I will be able to revisit skills that they may need extra support or review with.

As soon as I get pictures of the play from Gale I will post them here. 🙂
