Third Grade Updates
Hello parents,
The highly anticipated Atlanta overnight field trip information packet is going home today in your child’s folder. Please take a moment to read through the information and contact me with any questions. There is also a medical release form that needs to be signed and returned. You are welcome to return it any time in the next week.
On Monday, we had a visit from a member of the Charlotte Fire Department. Ms. Christy has been working with the fire department for over 15 years and had many valuable facts and tidbits to share with the kids. I encouraged the kids to discuss fire safety at home with the family and to establish a safe meeting place in the rare event of a fire. The likelihood that you’ll need to utilize this plan is small, but in the case that you do need it, its the ONLY thing you need. Unfortunately, I know this from firsthand experience. About 20 years ago, my close friend was unable to escape a house up in flames.
Third grade artists are really making impressive representations of ‘what freedom means’ for the Matthews Playhouse art contest. I will be sure to show off their artwork before submitting them for the contest.
Tomorrow I hope to see all of you for the Judaica presentation. The kids have been practicing and can’t wait to perform for you!
Below you will find a variety of photos- some are of the kids doing math on desks, others are showing the kids doing mindfulness practice, and a few are from Ms. Christ’s visit. Enjoy!
