Visiting with friends from Eretz Yisrael!

What a treat! Yesterday we were excited to welcome 8 Israeli students and their teachers to our classroom. These students are visiting Charlotte from our “Israeli sister city”, Haderah, as exchange students for a 10 day visit.

We were proud to share with them some of what we have learned about Israel in our Kef L’tayel unit. We were pleasantly surprised when our guests spontaneously joined us in our singing.

We then had some time to socialize with our new friends and play some Israeli games together.

We really got the feeling that Israel and all Jewish people, are like one family with a special land.

Our guests treated us all with a very meaningful souvenir that they brought from Israel….. a tiny, beautiful Tehillim (book of Psalms) key chain!!!!

We were thrilled to open it up and find some chapters that we were familiar with from our daily Tefillot!!
