Week 33
The students did an excellent job on their “Eras Day” costumes!
This week, the students have been working hard to review math, reading, language arts, and writing mechanics for our CTP4 testing next week. They played jeopardy, did math challenges, took practice assessments, and studied test taking strategies. The students have worked hard all year and I’m excited for them to show off what they have learned next week! 🙂
The students began their final writing piece this week. This piece should display the writing traits they studied this school year: Choosing strong ideas, organizing their work, writing with creative voice, using powerful verbs and adjectives, beginning sentences in a variety of ways, and correctly using conventions like capital letters, periods, and commas.
Next week is our last five day week! After the CTP4 each morning, the students will continue preparing for third grade. We will begin our Project Based Learning Unit on rocks and minerals and present our natural resources project to our first grade friends!
