Alison Lerner

Administration
Admission Counselor

My involvement with CJDS began in 2003 when my son entered Kindergarten – that was before we were in our beautiful new building and his classroom was a trailer “up on the hill”. My daughter started the following year and even after both kids graduated, I stayed actively involved. I chaired the Annual Fund, was active in the PTO and on the Leadership Team, and was the CJDS Board President. I also volunteer and have served on many Boards in the Jewish community outside of school, most recently serving as the President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte.

I moved to Charlotte from the Northeast with my family when I was 16 and graduated from UNC in 1991. I met my husband Mark, a native Charlottean, while exercising at the LJCC! Our kids, Sean (24) and Carly (22), still enjoy reminiscing about their time at the Charlotte Jewish Day School.

As CJDS continues to grow, I am thrilled to be part of the professional team focusing on Admissions. It is my joy to be able to share my passion for CJDS with prospective families!!
