Hello! I am privileged to be the new first grade teacher at CJDS. My first love is teaching and I am thrilled to be a part of this school community. I am originally from Tampa, Florida but my roots are in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where the majority of my family lives. My husband, Jason, and three children (Olivia, 11, Dexter, 8, and Logan 4) live in Waxhaw. We love to take walks, swim, enjoy movie nights, and spend time with family. I have been in the field of education since 2010. I hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s in special education. I am certified in elementary education (grades K-6), special education (grades K-12), and I also have a pre-K add on. I have taught kindergarten and third grade regular education and have most recently worked as an EC resource teacher serving grades kindergarten through second. First grade is an amazing year of learning and discovery for students and I am so happy that I get to be a part of it!
