Associate Head of School

Monica joined Charlotte Jewish Day School as the Associate Head of School in 2023. Previously, she taught 3rd grade at CJDS for 9 years. Prior to moving to Charlotte in 2014, Monica taught 3rd grade in Norwalk, Connecticut; 6th grade in Westchester, New York; and served as a literacy coordinator in the Bronx. When living in New York, Monica received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and master’s degree in Literacy Education. Her extensive and broad classroom experience makes her an ideal candidate to help lead CJDS.


When Monica is not at school, you can find her hiking in the mountains, gardening, camping, or traveling with family. Monica lives with her husband and two boys, Sawyer (14) and Elliott (12). Her boys attended CJDS years ago and still claim it was their “best year of school ever.” Her fur babies are dog Pepper, and cat, Nacho.
