“Hello CJDS Families! I am so excited to join the team this year teaching 1st grade! I grew up in Michigan and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education K-6 from Central Michigan University! I moved down to Charlotte in January 2014 after being extended my first teaching position! I taught Kindergarten for 6.5-7 years and 2nd grade for 2 years in the public school system. I am married to my husband, Tony, and we have 3 pets-2 dogs and 1 cat so we keep busy playing with them!
In my classroom, I foster great classroom management skills and am extremely organized. My biggest goal is to get to know each of my students and to teach them to love learning and also how to become a kind, caring, and compassionate little person. 1st grade is one of the most important grades and I hope my students leave the end of the year loving to learn!”
